Membership Details

laptopWriting can be an isolating, lonely pursuit. If you feel you would benefit from the support and encouragment of other writers then perhaps it's time to find a group of like minded people to help get your writing going again.

There are two ways to join FAW NSW; you can contact a branch, or you can become an Isolated Writer.

For further information on membership please contact the Membership Secretary.

Fees

Annual subscriptions are due on 31 December each year and are paid to the Branch Treasurer where the member attends meetings.  The fees are $34 pa full membership and $17 for under 18 and students. Each Branch sets its own annual fee which may include a top-up for their own expenses.  The $34/$17 of this amount goes to the FAW State Council as an affiliation fee to cover administration costs, public liability and the quarterly bulletin "Writers Voice".  Contact the Treasurer for more details.

Branches

FAW NSW has over thirty branches throughout the state.  Each branch is autonomous but enjoys the advantages of being part of the umbrella organisation of the Fellowship.  Contact one near you to find out more details.  Click here for a listing of Branches in country New South Wales and click here for a listing of the Sydney Metropolitan Branches.

Isolated Writers

For writers unable to attend meetings because of distance or disability, there is the Isolated Writers’ Branch (conducted by correspondence and electronically), which provides support, advice, assistance and a chance to contact and commune with fellow writers.  See more
